Chicago is home to many entertainment venues. Whether attending a basketball game, going to a concert, or spending time with family and friends, there is always something to do. Below I have provided some of my favorite venues in the city:

The walking tour starts at Concord Music Hall. Located between Wicker Park and Logan Square it holds a capacity of 700 to 1490. It was opened on August 1st, 2013 and since then has been a hub of various concerts and events. It is considered the city's newest music venue. Next, if you travel further southeast you hit the United Center. Home to the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks, this sports arena is the spot where many sports fans have witnessed a plethora of historical moments. Nowadays it is also used to host other sporting events and music concerts. Located just a couple of blocks east of the United Center is the Bottom Lounge. I didn't become aware of this venue until two years ago when I attended a concert here. The place grew on me, from its unique inside to its interesting spacious concert venue. Continuing east towards downtown, you will eventually hit a historic place in Chicago, the Goodman Theatre. Located at 1701 North Dearborn Street, this venue is a mainstay in the theatre scene for the city. Founded in 1925 as a tribute to Chicago playwright Kenneth Sawyer Goodman who passed away during the Great Influenza Pandemic of 1918. In 1992, the theatre company received the Regional Theatre Tony Award. Lastly, traveling south you arrive at the Wintrust Arena. A newer sports arena that opened in 2017, it is right near McCormick Place and is the home of the WNBA team the Chicago Sky. Formerly known as DePaul Arena, it holds a capacity of 10,387 and it hosts many other events such as pro wrestling and the NBA draft.

Below is a split-screen image of the original Goodman Theatre from 1926 and from the year 2000 when it moved to the Dearborn location.
